WDIV Meteorologist Kim Adams Addresses 'Serious Health Issues' And the Impact on Her Job

Meteorologist Kim Adams, who rejoined WDIV in August 2022, is dealing with some serious health issues that has impacted her job.

"In recent months, I have been dealing with some serious health issues, which have caused me to seek treatment at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio," she wrote on Facebook on Wednesday evening. "Because of my ongoing condition, I have had to be off the air for periods of time. I, along with others here at WDIV, have received an outpouring of support and questions via social media and phone calls.

"Until now, I have simply wanted to deal with my illness privately, but I have decided it is time to let you know how much I appreciate your concern, love, and support. I will do my best to keep you updated moving forward. Love, Kim."

Adams did not get into specifics about her health issues.

Adams, who previously worked for WXYZ and WDIV before leaving TV about 11 years ago, returned to WDIV as a weekday meteorologist in 2022. She replaced the popular Ben Bailey, who resigned in August 2021.
